Job Summary:

As a Registered Care Home Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring the highest level of care and support for residents. You will manage a team of care staff, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and create a safe and welcoming environment for residents and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

Management and Leadership:

Provide effective leadership and management to the care home staff.

Recruit, train, and supervise care staff, ensuring a high standard of care.

Foster a positive and collaborative work culture within the care home.

Resident Care:

Assess the needs of residents and develop individualized care plans.

Ensure that residents receive appropriate medical care and support.

Monitor the overall well-being of residents and respond to their needs promptly.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards in the care sector.

Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation and implement necessary changes in the care home.

Financial Management:

Manage the care home's budget effectively, including staffing costs and expenses.

Work to optimize revenue and control expenditures.

Quality Assurance:

Implement and maintain quality assurance and improvement programs.

Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure the care home's adherence to quality standards.

Communication:

Establish effective communication channels with residents, their families, and staff.

Address concerns, complaints, and feedback from residents and their families promptly.

Health and Safety:

Ensure that the care home meets health and safety standards.

Develop and implement emergency response plans.

Documentation and Record-Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of residents' care plans, medications, and health conditions.

Prepare reports and documentation required by regulatory authorities.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices in care delivery.

Stay informed about advancements in the field of elderly care and implement relevant changes.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) qualification and relevant experience in healthcare management.
  • Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a care home setting is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
